Overview
Elevated Thought is a Lawrence, MA-based 501(c)(3) organization that empowers BIPOC youth and communities through free creative programming in art, culture, and social justice.
I led the website redesign to create a more user-friendly, visually engaging platform that reflects the organization’s mission. The project included:
Developing a new visual language and incorporating custom illustrations
Designing new pages to showcase programs, events, and community initiatives
Improving site navigation and overall user experience
The redesign was a collaborative effort with the media specialist, art director, and executive director, ensuring the site authentically represents Elevated Thought’s values and impact.
The Challenge
The existing website was outdated and not reflective of the organization’s new brand identity. Key issues included:
Confusing navigation that made it difficult for users to find programs and resources.
Limited visibility for new programs and upcoming events.
Lack of alignment with the organization’s energy, community focus, and visual identity.

Process
I led the redesign, collaborating closely with the Executive Director and Art Director, as well as a video producer and contracted illustrator, to ensure the site’s structure, visuals, and storytelling reflected the organization’s brand and community focus.
Outcome
The redesigned site better represents Elevated Thought’s impact, energy, and evolving work. It creates clear pathways for visitors to learn more, donate, and reach out for future opportunities.
